Endometriosis Awareness Month🎗️

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness about this often misunderstood and misdiagnosed condition.

Many years ago, I was diagnosed with endometriosis and it’s a fucking beast to deal with. While it’s not something I talk about often, it’s important to bring attention to it, especially since so many people still don’t understand what it is.

For those who don’t know, endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it, causing pain. Lots and lots of pain. And not the good kind of pain, like the pain from spanking fun. ;-)

As with many women, I had to see multiple doctors before I finally found one who took me seriously, diagnosed me, and started treatment. Unfortunately, symptoms are often dismissed as “just bad periods,” which leads many women with endometriosis to suffer for years.

Raising awareness helps people recognize their symptoms, understand that excruciating pain isn’t normal, and seek help sooner. For more information, visit the Endometriosis Foundation of America 🎗️.
