Georges Topfer, Le précepteur

Georges Topfer was a French spanking artist from the late 1910s to the mid-1930s. Topfer often used the pseudonyms Gaston Smit, G. Smit, GTS and James Barclay. Below are his illustrations from the 1923 novel Le précepteur (The Preceptor) by Aimé Van Rod, which was first published in 1914.

“The patient’s complaints and moans continued. Although he liked to prolong the anguish of those he set out to tame, he decided to act. He approached Maud and said, ‘Now is the time to atone for your folly. I cannot recommend wisdom and submission enough, Maud. The severity of your whipping will depend on your behavior!’ Extraordinarily calm and cold, too calm and too cold for this apparent state to be real, Mr. Wells applied the rods methodically and severely to the plump flesh. Stripes, pink at first, then more and more red, crisscrossed the thin and satiny skin, so tense that it looked like it was about to burst under the strain of the flesh.” – Excerpt from Le p`récepteur
