Georges Topfer, La Fascination du Fouet

Georges Topfer was a French spanking artist from the late 1910s to the mid-1930s. Topfer often used the pseudonyms Gaston Smit, G. Smit, GTS and James Barclay. Below are his illustrations from the 1910 novel La Fascination du Fouet (The Fascination of the Whip) by Aimé Van Rod.

“Mr. Flogbum, with all the care and circumspection of an artist, choose a long and elastic bushy rod…The torture began with the cries and tears of unhappy Emilie. Her head thrown back, held stiff by the housekeeper’s inflexible grip, she screamed and nervously flapped the air with her arms…” – Excerpt from La Fascination du Fouet
