“One of the things I really try to do in my drawings is capture some emotion. Facial, body language and so forth. More than just the boy howling over the lap, sometimes it’s the anticipation – you know, the father taking a belt off his pants or walking toward him with a hairbrush and the look on the kid’s face is really important to me. The look on the father’s face is really important to me.
